American Gangster, a 2007 Ridley Scott crime film, stars Denzel Washington and Josh Brolin. However, Brolin claims that the two nearly got right into a combat on site.
When Brolin spoke at the In Depth With Graham Bensinger podcast, he pointed out how, following an altercation among the two, he felt he was going to fight Washington on set.
Details about the Denzel Washington
According to Brolin, he positioned a hand on Denzel Washington’s shoulder and attempted to ask him what the line became. According to Brolin, Washington then slapped his hand away and screamed at him, which made Brolin protective.
“There was a whole thing there, and Denzel Washington was a little late to set,” Brolin remarked. He then demonstrated the lines to me.He altered the framework of it somewhat, but he left all of my lines intact. “I think I’m going to put this down here and that up there,” he stated. However, he refused to give me much attention.
Fortunately, the situation didn’t worsen, and according to Brolin, the two now “get along very well.” Their conflict also contributed to the film’s critical praise and two Oscar nominations for Best Supporting Actress and Best Art Direction.
